Overview

The candidate will provide comprehensive technical support to a diverse range of customers, including Alliance Laundry System (ALS) sales representatives, distributors, independent service companies, and servicing dealers. As a Technical Service Representative, the individual will be responsible for delivering expert technical support and training on all types of laundry equipment manufactured and distributed by Alliance Laundry Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide multi-channel support via voice, email, and digital platforms for distributors, dealers, and servicers.
  • Deliver expert technical service information in alignment with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with ALS Sales Representatives and global teams to establish optimal service levels that support retail dealer sales, as well as addressing inquiries from end users about machine features, programming, and installation requirements.
  • Innovate solutions to technical service challenges by developing creative strategies and approaches to enhance internal processes, product service tools, and technical relations. 
  • Proactively document and report on product performance and potential issues with precision and timeliness.
  • Execute additional assigned tasks and responsibilities as needed to support departmental goals.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required 
  • At least 5+ years of industry experience is preferred
  • Field-related experience is preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable on a variety of laundry equipment throughout the industry.
  • High degree of computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office products and proficiency in the use of AI tools to enhance technical support and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong electrical knowledge which includes wiring diagrams, single and three-phase voltage, and the use of electrical measuring equipment.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact positively, empathize with customers, and provide solutions in accordance with ALS policies.
  • Background in mechanical or electromechanical troubleshooting is a plus.
    Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and ever-changing industry with a focus on advancing digital product features.
  • Maintain a readiness to travel as needed, supporting the role's requirements through activities such as quality investigations, service programs, ride-alongs, field visits, and training.
