Work Arrangement: Onsite 

 

Timing/Duration:

  • Spring/Summer 2026 Co‑op: January–August 2026 (full-time)
  • Summer 2026 Internship: May/June–August 2026 (full-time)

 

About the role Join the Procurement team to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier transitions, cost analysis, and new product launch support. This role is designed to provide meaningful, high-impact work. 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Support supplier strategy and risk mitigation:
    • Assist with supplier research, RFx execution, supplier qualification, and transition planning.
    • Compile total landed cost comparisons (material, logistics, duties/tariffs, tooling, inventory) and develop risk heat maps.
  • Conduct Make/Buy analysis:
    • Build should-cost models and TCO analyses to compare internal manufacturing vs. external sourcing.
    • Partner with engineering, operations, and finance to validate assumptions, capacity, and quality requirements.
  • Support product launches
  • Analyze data and report results:
    • Create dashboards and reports (cost savings, PPV, lead time, on-time delivery, supplier scorecards).
    • Cleanse and maintain procurement master data to improve accuracy and decision-making.
  • Execute day-to-day procurement activities:
    • Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, recommend awards, and draft purchase agreements under guidance.
    • Monitor open orders, expedite critical parts, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally:
    • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Logistics to drive outcomes.
    • Present project updates and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Finance, Mechanical Engineering a related field; returning to school after the assignment (required for internship/coop eligibility).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of building structured models and drawing clear conclusions.
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups); experience with Power BI/Tableau and/or basic SQL is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP concepts (SAP/Oracle/Infor or similar preferred).
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting findings.
  • Collaborative mindset: able to support teammates and seek input across functions.
  • Curiosity and creativity; willing to challenge assumptions and propose new ideas.
