To navigate this exciting frontier, we are seeking a Director of Enterprise Digitalization, a strategic visionary who will spearhead our digital transformation journey and will foster a culture of innovation, mentorship, and user-centric design within their team.

 

As a pivotal figure within the Technology department, this individual will serve as a peer alongside Directors of IT Operations & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Digital Products. They will focus on digitalization of our internal IT applications, our sales and service tools, our E-Commerce initiatives, and our MyAlliance portal used by independent distributors and Alliance owned distributors. Together, this leadership team will collaborate to forge an integrated approach to digital transformation, reinforcing the fabric of our technological infrastructure to support scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

By championing digital innovation that anticipates and exceeds expectations, the Director of Enterprise Digitalization will play a critical role in defining the future of Alliance Laundry Systems, ensuring we remain the clear leader in commercial laundry in a digitally-driven world.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Digital Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with organizational goals, improving customer engagement, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning.
  • Leadership in Digitalization: Lead the Enterprise Digitalization area, identifying opportunities for digital transformation and overseeing the enhancement of the MyAlliance portal, E-Commerce initiatives, and the development of a new Technician app.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with peers in IT Operations & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital Products, and IT Project Management to ensure a cohesive technology ecosystem, facilitating efficient, secure, and scalable solutions. Foster collaboration and share insights that contribute to the overall technology strategy of the organization.
  • User Experience and Product Development: Champion exceptional user experiences, applying enterprise architecture skills to design cohesive, intuitive user groups, including customers, distributors, and field service agents.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify and integrate innovative technologies and practices that enhance product offerings and operational processes. Stay ahead of industry trends to keep Alliance at the forefront of digital solutions in the commercial laundry market.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of digital specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and user-centric design practices. Ensure the team's projects align with the broader digitalization strategy and organizational objectives.
  • Financial Investment Modeling: Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate the potential ROI of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational budgeting and strategic priorities. Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to justify investment in technology solutions and digital transformation efforts.
  • Understanding Business Users: Conduct deep dive analyses into the needs and workflows of sales, marketing, and distribution teams. Use these insights to tailor digital solutions that enhance productivity, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness, ensuring technology offerings meet and exceed user expectations.
  • User-Centric Product Development: Leverage a strong understanding of our sales, marketing, and distribution channels to guide the development and optimization of digital tools and platforms. Ensure these solutions facilitate seamless, efficient operations and support our overall business objectives, enhancing the connectivity between Alliance Laundry Systems and our diverse user base.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Experience, & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in leading strategy for technical and business development:
    • Demonstrated ability in working as a peer within a leadership team, driving cross-functional collaboration and consensus.
    • Proven experience in leading successful digital initiatives and transformations
    • Strong background in enterprise architecture.
    • Experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
    • Diverse experience with software development technologies and tools.
    • Experience in user experience design desired.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex digital strategies and technological concepts to executive leadership, stakeholders, and teams across the organization, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with business goals.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
