Overview

As a pivotal part of our North America (NA) Commercial Support Training team, the Service Trainer plays a key role in the development and facilitation of service training plans. This role directly contributes to the enhancement of service capabilities, performance, and productivity, supporting both internal service staff and distributor technicians within NA Commercial Sales segment. The Service Trainer ensures these teams are equipped to meet the demands of the market and achieve service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Manager - Sales & Service Training, identify service training needs and select the most efficient training methods and modalities for delivery (virtual online training, webinars, in-person sessions, etc.)
  • Leverage knowledge of adult learning methodologies & cutting-edge training delivery to optimize learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Engineering, Innovation) to design and deliver relevant service training
  • Develop and conduct train-the-trainer sessions, materials, and resources for internal Commercial service staff
  • Organize training presentation logistics, including equipment and facilities setup
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies to enhance the training experience 
  • Report on the usage, evaluation, and effectiveness of training initiatives to Manager - Sales & Service Training and select Commercial stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, attendance, assessments, and program evaluations
  • Provide training for new product releases and updates, both internally and to distributor partners
  • Lead interactive training activities, including discussions, workshops, and practicals; Provide individual and team coaching
  • Assess training effectiveness and ROI by analyzing behavior changes and key performance indicators post-training

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education
  • 5 years’ experience as a commercial product technician required
  • Prior experience in development and facilitation of service training preferred

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Systems-proficient; particularly with MS Office products, video recording tools, learning management systems, and Goto Webinar
  • Mastery in creating and delivering compelling in-person learning presentations
  • Deep understanding of learning methodologies and sales training best practices
  • Strong technical writing skills for developing educational content
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in enablement technologies, tactics, and methodologies
  • Proficient in transferring service techniques to diverse products and customer scenarios
  • Solid organizational skills: Ability to self-manage workload; able handle multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to speak in front of large audiences; communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
  • Ability to translate technical information into engaging, compelling learning material; Present ideas in business and user-friendly language

Travel:

  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time to Alliance Laundry offices and various customers locations

 Standard and Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting
