Overview

The Warehouse Manager monitors operations for compliance with regulations governing materials handling, storage, and distribution of commercial laundry equipment. Coordinates a team that receives, stores, and distributes all supplies ensuring organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety while following the Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards.

 

This position will be onsite at our Pasadena, TX location. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the warehouse operations and partners with the General Manager to align with the procurement strategies and business goals of the office and Alliance Distribution.
  • Manage warehouse, parts, and delivery team members, including mentoring, training, development, and performance management. Responsible for developing and enforcing policies and procedures while assessing opportunities for improvement. Expected to become knowledgeable of all positions and to acquire the ability to assist and fill in as needed.
  • Supervises and processes shipping and receiving handling procedures. This may include putting away incoming parts and dispersing them to the service team, installation team, or warehouse. This may include shipping parts to external customers.
  • Processes and enters purchased orders and vendor invoices received into the accounting system, updates customer pricing, and finalizes orders accordingly. Additional duties may include verifying all available parts and freight discounts and rebates have been applied. Simultaneously, verifying parts warranty process and posting credits and returns accordingly.  
  • Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against accounting systems. Reviews par levels and keeps track of inventory items to determine replacement and restocking needs based on business levels, equipment utilization trends, and past and future inventory transfers.
  • Partners with Sales, Service, and Installation teams to forecast equipment and parts needs for large projects and seeks clarification when needed to drive accuracy and efficiency before placing orders.
  • Will enter customer information into logging systems such as SAP and/or Sales Force. Customer support expert, serving as the escalation point of contact, managing incoming calls or correspondence, and communicating with internal and external partners or suppliers. Addresses any discrepancies regarding availability, delivery, quality, price, and shipping schedules.
  • Operates and supervises the correct usage of forklift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment following all safety and security procedures. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business/logistic management, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of related work experience working in a warehouse leadership experience role with proven knowledge of the field's procedures and practices is required.
  • Proficiency with office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database management.
  • Experience operating equipment including forklift truck and pallet jack required. A valid state motor vehicle operator's permit for the operation of a forklift truck might be required

Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of daily operations and customer service

Standard and Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves standing for long periods, manual dexterity, stooping, and bending.
  • Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. For greater weight items assistive devices will be provided.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
