Responsible for maintaining operational status of Intel-based desktop computer hardware and software.
Responsibilities
Installs and supports PC hardware, PC operating system software and PC software packages
Assists users with PC, network, and phone problems (hardware and software)
Orders and installs PC peripheral equipment
Assists Network Analyst with project management, resource planning and system monitoring and troubleshooting
Develops and maintains documentation
Continually searches for ways to improve processes or reduce costs
Keeps up to date and assesses computer technology trends by maintaining affiliations with successful companies who practice effective desktop management, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional associations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Two-year degree in networking, technology, business, or related field is preferred
At least 2 years of PC troubleshooting experience
Skills and Abilities:
Must have strong PC hardware/software knowledge
Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities at once
Ability to communicate effectively and establish effective working relationships
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and strong problem-solving skills
Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Strong service orientation and customer service skills
