The Franchise Training Specialist will provide hands-on training to new franchise teams including Store Managers and Laundromat attendants. Focal points for the training specialist include customer service, sales, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training materials and additional supporting resources and tools.
  • Lead in-store and remote training to maximize integration and proficiency of all franchisees' stores. 
  • Support brand standards of excellence by leading, coaching, and training franchisees on customer service, sales, and store appearance.
  • Develop relationships with franchisees, acting as a liaison between corporate headquarters and franchise locations.
  • Assist franchisees with soft and grand openings including staging of the store for ribbon cutting ceremony.
  • Consult and establish operational focus training strategies, including the train-the-trainer program designed to empower a designated member of the franchisee ownership group.
  • Collaborate with the Franchisee’s manager to build and establish the community outreach program and creates partnerships within the location's territory.
  • Partner with the Facilities, Marketing, and Implementation team to work on pending items pertaining to the optimization of the Franchisee, year-round.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to enhance results.
  • May represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and other events.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism, Communication, Education, or related field, preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • 2+ years of previous experience in training or education. Merchandising, Franchise or multi-unit retail environment, desired.
  • Experience with developing training materials, brand guidelines and/or instructor-led training, preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Spanish fluency is not mandatory, though we serve a large Spanish-speaking community.
  • Proficient with technology, specifically APPs, using various operating systems.
  • Systems-proficient; Knowledge and experience with in-person classroom style and digital learning tools.
  • Confidence in developing accurate, relevant content, including demonstrated facilitation skills. Knowledge of copyright and trademark rules for writing and delivering content and graphics
  • Ability to select teaching methods appropriate for industry and audience. Present ideas in business and user-friendly language.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic; Self-starter, demonstrating a proactive approach, self-initiative, and tenacity. 

 Travel:

  • This position requires travel (approximately 50% of work time) to deliver training and provide in-person support to franchisees. 
  • Overnight stays. Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Air and road travel

 Standard and Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
  • Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally. For greater weight items assistive devices will be provided.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
