The Installer - Commercial Equipment works with our Service Technicians to effectively install commercial laundry equipment while following the Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards policies and procedures.  Additional responsibilities will include service or repair of equipment. A company vehicle may be provided. A valid driver’s license is required along with successfully passing a Motor Vehicle Record check.

 

The ideal candidate, will have prior experience or exposure to one or more of the following areas: HVAC, construction, carpentry, concrete, equipment rigging, commercial equipment repair, or electrical.

• Perform the functions of equipment and parts, installation, start-up, operation, and other duties as required to ensure customer satisfaction following company standards, techniques, and safety requirements.
• Provides general customer service functions by performing accurate diagnosis, providing findings, recommendations, and instructions to clients on the usage of commercial laundry equipment following the installation and testing of parts and equipment.
• Assist Field service team when available with routine preventive maintenance of parts and equipment. Responsible for taking parts for repair, or the ordering of necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts.
• Collaborates with the disassembling of equipment and parts/equipment for installation purposes.
• Responsible for programing equipment from factory settings to customer needs as requested; and testing of all equipment once installed to ensure it is working properly.
• Document all service activities accurately in the Field Service system, completing work summaries after each call and verifying all service tickets.
• Expected to provide inventory on their assigned company vehicle and produce proper reporting of company expenses.
• Position requires to travel in company vehicle to customers locations to perform on-site installations, as well as, to respond to emergency/unscheduled install requests assigned by Service Manager.
• Effectively communicates top level escalations to Service Manager and contributes to best practices and process improvement.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of work experience working in commercial, military, industrial or manufacturing equipment repair preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of single and 3-phase electric power equipment required.

• Experience in telephone and email/ticketing dispatch customer support systems, preferably with knowledge of Field Service Management software.

   
• Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, preferred.

Travel:

• Travel will be limited to the service territory; some overnight travel may be required.

Standard and Physical Requirements:

• Position involves sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing and manual dexterity.
• Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. For greater weight items assistive devices will be provided.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus.
