Overview

The position of Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for leading predictive maintenance, critical spares, and root cause initiatives in the Ripon, WI facilities.  This role is responsible for executing the maintenance process, establishing a reliability focus, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement. Duties and responsibilities are carried out with considerable independence within the framework of established policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position reports to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager (Area Leader)

Responsibilities

Primary duties:

  • Use downtime data to systematically analyze the effectiveness of existing maintenance strategies for process or infrastructure equipment, and lead maintenance optimization projects
  • Partner with various maintenance and operations groups to create maintenance strategies for key assets or processes using OEM recommendations, and accepted industry best practices
  • Create bills of materials for equipment using best practices to determine stock quantities
  • Collaborate with master data processing team to ensure full and accurate master data for equipment is entered into CMMS
  • Manage and maintain vibration and infrared analysis programs
  • Utilize various predictive tools and technologies to improve reliability of assets
  • Perform maintainability reviews of new or problematic equipment and collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to implement necessary improvements
  • Provide input for and improve the assessment ranking system that drives the capital plan for the replacement of key infrastructure equipment
  • Develop company-wide standards and procedures for maintenance processes
  • Manage the strategic maintenance of critical equipment and provide expertise for overhauls of assets
  • Analyze the effectiveness of maintenance techniques and work with maintenance teams to improve various maintenance programs, including oil analysis, lubrication, infrared scanning, vibration analysis, and laser alignment

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent degree is required with previous hands-on maintenance experience preferred
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) certificate preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities equipment, with the ability to fluently read and understand prints in all areas.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the functionality of equipment (stamping, automated fabrication, machining, paint process) in those processes.

  • Must be a self-starter and a team motivator
  • Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office products
  • Be able to work several assignments simultaneously and effectively
  • Core competencies: Communication, Upkeep and maintenance of a facility. Accountable for upholding standards and safety of the organization.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity and able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
