Overview

The Leader, Genuine Parts will be the chief architect of the customer's parts experience, driven by the ultimate mission of achieving "Zero Customer Downtime" for our end-users. This leader will achieve this by transforming the division from a support function into an entrepreneurial, P&L-driven business, and unifying the organization around the common goal of doubling its Gross Profit (GP), Revenue, Margin, and EBITDA by 2028. This is a role for a builder who will own the strategy, innovation, and operational execution required to create the industry's leading aftermarket experience.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the chief architect of the end-to-end customer parts experience. Obsessively map and improve the customer journey—from part identification and purchase to delivery and installation—with the ultimate goal of achieving "Zero Customer Downtime".
  • Lead the Product Management and E-commerce functions to build digital solutions and product offerings that solve customer problems before they happen.
  • Systematically identify, model, and build the business case for new business models, recurring revenue streams, and alternative routes to market to drive sustainable, long-term growth.
  • Own and manage all aspects of the Genuine Parts P&L, providing leadership with sophisticated, data-driven financial analysis of performance, business plans, and strategic projects.
  • Lead and develop the business unit team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and unified, mission-driven purpose.
  • Lead the unification of business strategy with sales execution by partnering with the Sales Leader to ensure go-to-market strategies for all products and channels are aligned with P&L goals.

Key Deliverables – Measures of Success:

  • Assume full P&L ownership, driving the transformation of the Genuine Parts business into a high-growth, high-margin enterprise.
  • Pioneer and scale new business models for the parts division, fundamentally shifting a portion of revenue from transactional to predictable, recurring streams (e.g., "Parts-as-a-Service" subscriptions, proactive replacement kits).
  • Develop and execute a customer-centric 5-year product roadmap focused on solving downtime problems and expanding our portfolio with innovative new products.
  • Establish a data-driven operating culture, leveraging analytics to optimize pricing, inventory, and the digital customer experience to drive profitability and market share.
  • Evaluate, build the business case for, and launch new routes to market to expand our customer base and capture untapped revenue.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant field; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading the P&L of an aftermarket or B2B product business, ideally with revenue between $50m and $200m, with a clear path to scale.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in strategic product management, business development, and/or general management.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in business model innovation, including identifying and launching new products, channels, and recurring revenue streams.
  • Deep financial and analytical acumen; demonstrated ability to use data to model new business opportunities, set dynamic pricing, and optimize a complex P&L.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a builder's mindset; a passion for creating market-leading customer experiences.
  • Proven ability to unify cross-functional teams around a mission-driven customer vision, shared goals, and standardized processes.
  • Strong strategic capabilities combined with a hands-on, executional mindset. High drive and low ego.

Alliance Team Members Demonstrate DRIVE:

  • Dedicated: Follows through on commitments. Strong say/do.
  • Respectful: Acts with integrity and values diverse perspective.
  • Innovative: Always looking for a better way; leads change.
  • Versatile: Adapts quickly to changing circumstances. Demonstrates agility.
  • Engaged: Acts like an owner. Wants to create and grow a business which is tightly aligned with market needs.
