Overview

As a Maintenance Training Coordinator, you'll enhance our Maintenance Department's Training Program by focusing on technical training for industrial maintenance, covering equipment operation and repair, including conveyors, stamping presses, and robotics. You'll integrate new techniques and tools to boost personnel skills and collaborate with experts to align training with organizational needs. Your role is vital in ensuring maintenance staff are well-equipped to improve equipment reliability and maintain a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and tracks training events, including individual initial/annual compliance training events for maintenance employees
  • Assists with the implementation of effective maintenance training programs for all staff using classroom, computer-based, and on-the-floor training; training program includes new hire, refresher, and remedial training to enforce safe work habits
  • Coordinates, contracts, and schedules outside vendor-provided training
  • Gathers and analyzes evaluation data to report on training effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency, while identifying areas for improvement
  • Serves as training advisor by examining new training methodologies and new maintenance technologies for training requirements and makes recommendations to management.
  • Designs training to meet the assessed needs
  • Maintains automated training records and history for Maintenance employees
  • Maintains awareness of new maintenance trends and developments in the field
  • Coordinates and partners with State of Wisconsin and technical schools for apprenticeship programs
  • Performs related work as required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Knowledge/Experience/Education: 

  • Associate degree and
  • Four (4) years of experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance training, or closely related field
  • Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis 
  • Knowledge of Maintenance safety requirements
  • Knowledge of Principles and methods of effective training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applicable software

 Special Requirements:

  • Individuals in this role will need to be available to work all shifts as needed and may occasionally travel for conferences or training
